-Vacuum floors and all furniture, empty the vacuum into an airtight bag, and put in the outside trash can
-Wash all bed coverings, pet bedding, and stuffed animals, dry on the highest heat for 40 minutes, then bag in an airtight bag
-Cover or remove all exposed food

-Remove fabric backing from box springs and stand upright
-Put fabric backing in an airtight bag in the outside trash can
